PREMIUM - Based on Group II highly refined base oils. Maxima uses the purest grade of petroleum oil from the recognized #1 refiner in the world for Group II. Maxima then matches this base oil with the proper additives and a strong, shear stable polymer system. Additive levels are 50% over passenger car oil levels.
SYN BLEND - Based on a blend of Ester Synthetics Group V (5) and Group II highly refined base oils. Maxima strengthens its pure base oil with the addition on highly polarized ester synthetics. Additives are increased 200%+ over automotive oils offering anti-wear and extreme pressure protection similar to most synthetic motorcycle racing oils.
EXTRA / ULTRA / 530s - Based on Triple Ester Synthetic technology. 100% synthetic. Maxima utilizes (3) separate and unique esters in its full synthetic oils - each with a very specific function. Triple ester technology is on the forefront of performance and protection. Additives are increased 300% over automotive oils and lead the industry. Unique regenerative polymer system offers unsurpassed protection from mechanical shearing and breakdown of the oil's viscosity.
Simply: Group (I) and Group (II) oils are petroleum. Group II is the better of the two and Maxima uses Group (II) in our petroleum oils like Premium.
The Synthetic oils, Blend, Extra and Ultra are ester based Group V (5) oils. Group V (5) is the highest class for ester oils.
